Applications are invited from ELIGIBLE Indian citizens for recruitment of two posts of Non Tech Popular Category (specific posts will be decided later on) in Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- in Group “C” against Cultural Quota in Head Quarter Office, Baroda House, New Delhi and Delhi Division of Northern Railway for the year 2016-17.Specific category and place of posting will be decided by the Northern Railway administration at the time of offering appointment to the selected candidate. No post is reserved for OBC/SC/ST /Ex-SM/PWD candidates. Merely filling up online application (Part-I) on RRC website does not entitle the candidate being eligible for Written Examination. Candidature of the applicant shall only be considered after printout of the Online filled application (Part-I) is received in RRC Office with Part —II of the application after completing formalities like:- Writing Paragraph, Thumb Impression, Signature, Photo etc. on it by the candidate. This printout application must enclose all necessary enclosures as well as prescribed Fee in the form of Indian Postal Order. These posts are open for all candidates. Specify category and place of posting will be decided by the Northern Railway administration at the time of offering appointment to the selected candidate. The print out of duly filled Online application along with required enclosures should be sent by post only to Assistant Personnel Officer/RRC, Railway Recruitment Cell, Lajpat Nagar- I, New Delhi — 110024 or dropped in Drop Box available in the RRC office during office hours before the last date as mentioned below.

Essential Qualification:

  • 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-SM.
  • Candidate should possess Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Gayan for Classical Vocal and for Tabla player from Govt. Recognised institute.

Desirable Qualification:

  • Experience in the field and performance on AIR/Doordarshan etc.
  • Prizes won at national level.

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities should produce a community certificate in the format available at the website www.rrcnr.org (Annexure-A)
  • Candidates belonging to OBC community should produce a community certificate in the format available at the RRC/NR website www.rrcnr.org (Annexure -B) the submitted OBC Certificate should not be more than One Year Old. In addition, the OBC candidates should enclose self-declaration of non-creamy layer status in the Performa given in available at the RRC/NR website www.rrcnr.org (Annexure-C)
  • Serving employee and Staff of Quasi administrative offices of Railway Organizations should submit : “No Objection Certificate” and “Bonafide Certificate” giving the length of regular service etc. from the employer.
  • Divorced/Judicially separated Women : Copy of Decree from the competent court of law for having divorced/ judicially separated along with an Affidavit that she has not remarried should be enclosed.
  • Widow : Death certificate of her husband together with an Affidavit that she has not remarried should be enclosed.
  • Ex-Servicemen : Discharge certificate should be enclosed.
  • Persons with Disability : Disability Certificate issued by Medical Board of appropriate Government in the prescribed format given on RRC website should be enclosed. (Annexure -D)

General Instructions:

  • The Candidates in response to this notification shall ensure that he/she fulfil all eligibility conditions at the time of submission of Application. It is the responsibility of the candidates to produce original certificates/ documents at the time of Document Verification. The candidates admission at all stage of the recruitment will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. The candidate shall attend the Written Examination/Document Verification/ Proficiency Test/ Medical Examination at the date; time and venue specified by Railway administration. Any request for change of date, time and venue will not be entertained.
  • Attested copy of the certificates in support of Age, Community, Educational/Technical Qualifications, Cultural Qualifications and Prizes won etc.
  • Necessary proof for claiming fee refund etc., should be enclosed along with the application form.
  • Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an attested translation in English/ Hindi.
  • Minority Community and Economically Backward Classes, shall enclose documentary proof in support of their claim.
  • Travel Expenses : SC/ST candidate alone will be issued with II-Class Free Pass for their journey from their nearest Railway Station to the venue of Written Examination. Others will have to make their own arrangements. No reimbursement of travel expenses will be made on any account.
  • Candidates to remain in touch with the RRC website which is the primary source of communication with the candidates for various information’s like : Eligible/Ineligible, Date of Examination, issuance of Admit Cards, Centre of Examination etc.
  • Before examination candidates should read the instructions carefully as given in the notification, instruction with the e-Admit card and before/during written Examination/online examination, the cover page of Question Booklet, OMR Answer Sheet and follow them scrupulously. Failure to comply with the instructions may lead to non-evaluation of OMR sheet and disqualification of candidate.
  • Railway Administration reserves the right to alter the mode of examinations or re-conduct the written examination or to cancel part or whole of any process of the recommitment at any stage without assigning any reason.
  • RRC reserves the right to conduct the examination in batches on various dates and locations as decided by the RRC.
  • The scheme of Cultural Quota will be implemented according to the guidelines issued by Railway Board and will be binding on all.

The printout of the duly Online filled applications along with Annexure after writing the required paragraph, putting Thumb impression and signature with photograph pasted on it must be sent by post to the Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi, PIN—110024.
